1. Control air and water ingress
Review door gaskets, cable entries, conduit, vents, and installation penetrations. Sealing reduces the rate at which new moisture enters.
Solutions
Keep critical surfaces dry through nightly temperature drops, high humidity, coastal exposure, and seasonal weather changes.
Root cause
Water does not need to enter an enclosure for condensation to become a problem. Moisture can already be present in the air after installation, enter through cable entries, or migrate through small pressure changes.
When the temperature of a metal panel, terminal, mounting plate, or circuit board falls below the dew point, water begins to form. Long before visible droplets appear, repeated moisture cycles can damage insulation, accelerate corrosion, reduce contact reliability, and cause intermittent faults.
Early warning signs
Prevention framework
Review door gaskets, cable entries, conduit, vents, and installation penetrations. Sealing reduces the rate at which new moisture enters.
Active dehumidification lowers the absolute moisture content inside the enclosure. This is especially useful in sealed cabinets.
Controlled heating raises the temperature of metal surfaces and electronics during cool nights and rapid temperature drops.
In larger cabinets, fans or controlled ventilation may help distribute heat and reduce localized condensation.
A hygrostat, temperature controller, or combined controller can switch heating and dehumidification according to actual conditions.
Recommended solutions
01
Reduce moisture inside sealed enclosures and help maintain dry internal surfaces. Suitable for control cabinets, telecom cabinets, and compact outdoor equipment.
02
Maintain surface temperatures above the dew point. PTC heaters are compact and self-limiting; fan heaters provide more even heat distribution in larger cabinets.
03
Automate heating and dehumidification using adjustable thresholds, sensor inputs, and relay outputs. RS485 options support alarm and system integration.
04
Support controlled air exchange where the enclosure design permits filtered ventilation. Filter grade and airflow rate depend on dust, moisture, and heat load.
Strategy selection
| Site condition | Recommended approach |
|---|---|
| Sealed cabinet with persistent humidity | Active dehumidification plus humidity control |
| Large day-night temperature swing | Controlled heating and dew-point monitoring |
| Outdoor cabinet exposed to rain and wind | Sealing review, drainage, and condensation protection |
| Coastal or corrosive environment | Corrosion-resistant hardware and continuous moisture control |
| Cabinet with high internal heat and dust | Filtered ventilation combined with temperature control |
Telecom cabinets, utility enclosures, and remote monitoring sites face humidity, temperature swings, and corrosion risk that require coordinated moisture control.
Why NOXT
NOXT is the global brand of Wenzhou Zhenrui Electric Co., Ltd. Our product range covers dehumidification, heating, airflow, and control — the four functions most often combined in condensation-prevention projects.
We support OEM/ODM programs, custom control logic, export documentation, and application-specific engineering.
| Condensation risk | Recommended NOXT family | Selection note |
|---|---|---|
| Moisture trapped inside sealed cabinet | CZCS 880, CZCS 860, CZCS 1000, CSSU 060 | Choose based on cabinet volume, humidity load, voltage, and drainage access |
| Cold internal surfaces | HG 040, HG 140, HG 340 | Match heater type and power to cabinet volume, insulation, and surface area |
| Humidity-driven switching | MF R012, EMFR 012, EFR 012, ETY 021, SK 3118 | Use humidity or combined control to activate heating or dehumidification |
| Uneven moisture and temperature | TB 98/TB 99 filter fans or F2E roof fans | Use only where controlled air exchange is acceptable |
| Corrosive or coastal environment | Corrosion-resistant mounting and sealed electrical connections | Review material compatibility, drainage, and maintenance access |

Suitable when the cabinet is compact, access is limited, and humidity builds during temperature changes.
This combination removes moisture, maintains surface temperature, and provides consistent switching based on measured conditions.
Air exchange can reduce heat build-up, but it may also introduce humid outside air. The control strategy must account for both temperature and dew point.
Moisture can remain inside the cabinet after assembly or enter through cable entries. When internal surfaces cool below the dew point, water forms.
Heating protects critical surfaces from falling below the dew point, but dehumidification may still be needed when the absolute moisture content is high.
The sensor should represent the air around sensitive equipment. Avoid locations next to heaters, direct airflow, or cold walls that may give misleading readings.
It can if humid outside air is introduced without considering the dew point. Filtered ventilation should be selected only when the application and climate conditions are suitable.
